Open to all health care professionals, students of Traditional, Classical, and Five Element Chinese Medicine (TCM), and those interested in Chinese energetic medicine, our professional training offers a multi-level certification program designed to teach the theory and practical application of Medical Qigong Therapy.
With knowledge gathered by Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, augmented and refined by Dr. Bernard Shannon, our certification programs are based upon the curriculum of the Medical Qigong College at Hai Dian University and used clinically at the Xi Yuan Medical Qigong Hospital in Beijing, China.
Emphasis will be placed on both the analytical/deductive and intuitive/perceptive approaches to comprehending and utilizing Medical Qigong Therapy for cultivation, regulation and clinical application. The experiential aspect of the course is well balanced with a solid theoretical foundation.
Study at Oregon Medical Qigong includes training in quiescence that utilizes traditional sitting and standing meditations. Sitting meditation ripens the mind’s qualities of stability, clarity, and innate strength. An open and radiant quality of awakened heart begins to emerge through sitting. Standing meditation dialates the meridians and channels and opens one to a felt, kinesthetic sense of inner space and outer vastness.
The Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP) and Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT) programs are also taught at:
